Herbalife Renews Nutrition Sponsorship with Western Sydney Wanderers for Third Year in a Row
AUSTRALIA, September 16, 2016 – Global nutrition company, Herbalife, has signed an agreement renewing its nutrition sponsorship of the Australian sporting club Western Sydney Wanderers FC.
Signed by Rod Taylor, general manager for Herbalife Australia and New Zealand, and the CEO of Western Sydney Wanderers, John Tsatsimas, the signing marks the third year of the partnership between the Western Sydney Wanderers FC and Herbalife.
As part of the continued sponsorship, Herbalife will support the Wanderers performance through their nutrition regime, host programs, and activities in conjunction with the club.
"We are pleased our Herbalife nutritional products have been able to assist the Western Sydney Wanderers on their sports performance, and we look forward to our continued partnership with the team," said Taylor.
Tsatsimas is also delighted to continue the partnership with Herbalife. "Herbalife’s mission to promote a healthy and active lifestyle integrates well with our values at the Wanderers, and we couldn’t be happier to spread this message for a third year in a row through this partnership. Our players have been fuelled and supported by the products for two years now with great results, and they are pleased to keep including them in their training regime to assist them in rising to the top of the A-League this season."
Herbalife is an important player in the sports nutrition market. Its Herbalife24 line is endorsed by athlete Cristiano Ronaldo, who is among the 200 Herbalife sponsored athletes around the world, reflecting the brand’s continued commitment to provide athletes with the best nutrition products needed to fuel their training and games.
Wanderers star striker Brendon Santalab said a focus on maintaining his health and well-being is how he keeps his form on the pitch consistently strong.
"Herbalife has become an important part of my everyday wellness ritual, giving me the confidence I need to perform at my best," said Santalab. "The products allow me to maintain my edge on the opposition, train hard, and recover after every session."
Many of Herbalife’s sponsored athletes, including Western Sydney Wanderers FC, consume Herbalife products before, during and after training and games to help with endurance, increased energy, hydration, and muscle recovery. With a range of protein-based and hydration products, Herbalife is well-positioned to play a significant role in providing sports nutrition solutions across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
